Hello all! Sorry the ATL Skeptics site hasn’t been updated in a while but look for updates soon! Exciting things are afoot, including the Skeptics track at Dragon*Con, an influx of Atlanta Skeptics at the JREF Amaz!ng Meeting and a charity star gazing party featuring some of our favorite astronomers.  Watch this space for more.

In the meantime, come to Skeptics in the Pub! Our June meeting will be on June 13. No speaker this month but Tim Farley will be hosting trivia with fabulous prizes. And if you haven’t already, make sure you register for the Atlanta Skeptics group on Meetup.com to hear about all our upcoming events!

Atlanta’s Skeptics in the Pub is tomorrow night!

We will discuss Atlanta‘s upcoming Skepticamp (as well as be ACCEPTING DONATIONS!), get caught up on recent skepticism in the news and view some presentations from the TAM 6 DVD!

We had our first Skepticamp volunteer meeting this past Saturday, and things went GREAT!! These are our confirmed details so far:

Skepticamp Atlanta

• Date: Saturday, February 7th, 2009
• Time: All day (start and end times TBD)
• Location: Doraville Civic Center, Doraville, GA

I want to thank everyone who attended the meeting and are volunteering their time and resources to make sure Skepticamp in Atlanta will be a great success!

It looks like we will have some some exciting activities and guests at the event! I will make an announcement as soon things are confirmed!

Our focus for right now is finding sponsors and PROMOTION, PROMOTION, PROMOTION!

At the next Skeptics in the Pub, Saturday, December 13th 7pm in the North Ave room at Manuel’s Tavern, I will discuss what came out of the volunteer meeting and also go over the rules of Skepticamp. We will also be accepting donations! Look forward to seeing you there!
