What is SkeptiCamp?
SkeptiCamps are informal, community-organized conferences born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. Everyone participates, gives talks, and gets to know each other. In a nutshell, SkeptiCamp is BarCamp adapted to the domain of scientific skepticism.
Atlanta SkeptiCamp is a two-day grassroots conference run by you, for you. Think for yourself. Share what you know!
This year we have exciting news, not only will you get two days of excellent skeptical presentations, but our opening night event will feature hypnotist David Bryan Smith. So come find out how he will cope with a room full of skeptics, but most of all, have a great time!
So when and where is it?
Atlanta SkeptiCamp will be held May 2nd through 4th at the office location of:
Tier3MD (Formerly MD Tech Pro)
3580 Pierce Dr
Atlanta GA 30341
SkeptiCamp is free to attend, and lunch will be provided on both days. If you would like to donate to help offset the cost of meals, please use the Donate button below!
For people bringing children, please note that the main location is smoke free and there will be a small break room available with sofas/table and a TV. However we can not offer childcare in any form and parents will need to use their own discretion over presentation subject matter.
Is it really free?
SkeptiCamp is very much our outreach event and everyone is welcome to attend whether they can afford to donate or not.
However, including meals brings the cost of SkeptiCamp to around $20 per attendee and we want SkeptiCamp to be able to continue for many more years. So if you are able to help us offset these costs please donate whatever you can along with your registration.
Every donor will receive a SkeptiCamp supporter pin, so you can show off your support for education and critical thinking.
I’m in! Now what?

Can I Help?
Absolutely! There are a number of ways you can get involved in SkeptiCamp. If you would like to volunteer to help set up, use your creative talents, give a presentation, or help in some other capacity, we would love to have you! Email Shaune Beattie and let us know you would like to help.
And again, this is a completely free educational event, so if you can help by donating, please do.
